If your photocard driving licence expires between 1st February and
31st August 2020 it will be automatically extended for 7 months from the expiry date.
You will be sent a reminder when you need to renew.
There are plans for vehicle testing to resume on a phased basis from 20th July for priority Vehicle Groups, including those vehicles that are not able to avail of Temporary Exemption Certificates.
Vehicles in the following categories will be able to book a vehicle test appointment from 1st July:
Taxis & Buses due a first time test
Vehicles not registered in NI & due a test
Vehicles with MOT expired by more than 12 months
If your vehicle is in one of these categories, from 1st July you need to ring the booking link on 0345 247 2471 to arrange an appointment.
Bookings will be available by phone only
These vehicles are not currently in the DVA System & therefore, the DVA will not proactively contacting customer with reminders .
